To unify the communication and knowledge exchange between the emergency medical teams across Europe iProcureSecurity seeks to translate the identified EMS terms in all consortium languages.

That is why the project encourages everyone willing to contribute, to suggest and add missing terminology translation.

Immediate measures
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Measures that take place immediately after the first rescue team arrives, such as securing the scene of the accident, requesting special rescue teams or providing first aid for patients when necessary.

Implementation barriers
Area: Pre-Commercial Procurement

Challenges to implementation are referred to as “implementation barriers.” They can be rooted in a variety of causes, including opposition from key stakeholders, inadequate human or financial resources, lack of clarity on operational guidelines or roles and responsibilities for implementation, conflicts with other existing policies, lack of coordination and collaboration between parties responsible for implementation, or lack of motivation or political will.

Implementation plan
Area: Emergency Medical Services

The Implementation Plan should include details of the proposed deployment,the priority of subsequent actions and those responsible for each phase.

In Hospital EMS
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Refer to all those subsets of medical institutions and hospitals that have the capacity to deliver uninterrupted emergency care on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis.

In Vehicle safety technologies
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Special technology developed to ensure the safety and security of automobiles and their passengers.

Indemnity
Area: Pre-Commercial Procurement

An approach to reducing risk associated with a contract by requiring either a security against defaults in performance or protection against liability, loss or damage. For example, a supplier may be asked to indemnify the contracting authority against liability arising from the application of a new product or service

Industrial research
Area: Pre-Commercial Procurement

Means the planned research or critical investigation aimed at the acquisition of new knowledge and skills for developing new products, processes or services or for bringing about a significant improvement in existing products, processes or services. It comprises the creation of components parts of complex systems, and may include the construction of prototypes in a laboratory environment or in an environment with simulated interfaces to existing systems as well as of pilot lines, when necessary for the industrial research and notably for generic technology validation

Information Management Systems
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Information system used for decision-making, and for the coordination, control, analysis, and visualization of information in an organization.

Innovation cycle
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Continuous cycle of product discovery, development and commercialization that enables companies to keep reinvesting in the next generation of technology.

Innovation procurement
Area: Emergency Medical Services

Any procurement which buys the process of innovation or outcomes of innovation created by others.
