Cordova EMS launches a new app to improve ambulance management

Cordova (Spain) emergency medical service is testing a new app to improve equipment management in ambulances. Rafael Muñoz, Care coordinator, expects to release it in 2 months.

App contributions

Thanks to this app, it will be easier to register the equipment current status and generate alerts for maintenance service if necessary. Also it improves communication between teams during shift changes. If a professional suffers an aggression he/she can ask for help using this app.

Otherwise, the team can use it to monitor their pending tasks and to ask for support to other units in case they need it, sending automatically their location.

The use of new technologies can automatise repetitive tasks performed daily by emergency professionals, making easier their journey and diverting their working time to more meaningful tasks.
