25 October 2019, Vienna – Austria, Wiener Sicherheitsfest 2019

At the “Vienna Security Festival” on Rathausplatz, everything revolves around the topic of security. On October 25th and on National Day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all participating EMS organizations are presenting themselves. “Die Helfer Wien” together with all Viennese aid and relief organizations as well as numerous friendly organizations will be present.

The “Vienna Security Festival” is the largest safety show in Austria and offers an informative and exciting program for all family members. A colorful animated program guarantees an excellent atmosphere. With spectacular demonstrations the visitor will get an insight into the dangerous work of the EMS organizations and at the same time learn how to behave correctly in events of emergency. Police and rescue dogs will demonstrate what operations they were trained for. State-of-the-art emergency vehicles, a “C9” emergency medical helicopter and numerous interesting equipment items will be exhibited.

A total of 46 organizations will present themselves this year. Around 500 employees will be available to provide information on safety, health, environment and social topics.

The “Vienna Security Festival” is supported by the 40 organizations of the Vienna K-Kreis, a worldwide unique association of professional and voluntary intervention organizations, municipal departments and service companies. Whether flood protection, drinking water network, sewer system, electricity and gas supply, waste management, road clearance, veterinary services or Wiener Linien – just to name few examples: the K-Kreis has the right experts for every challenge. For the Viennese population, this simply means: the greatest possible security. Every citizen of Vienna can certainly count on quick, highly professional and well-organized help in an emergency.
